while i can tell there is a lot of work put into this i'm just not feeling much... well... anything, i'm not getting anything from it which is weird because from most of your work i can feel, see, imagine something

That makes me a little sad to hear, but I guess that can happen with a remix like this. Besides, there are so many versions out there that the portal (and most likely the world) is frankly saturated by them. What is mine in the grand scheme of things? :|
Ah, well...it was a fun piece to remix so I can't complain. It was one of those tunes from FFVII that just wouldn't leave my mind alone until I made this. Thanks for being so honest in your review.
hmm
personally when i first looked at the title i was expecting something a little darker... but now that i'm listening to this i can feel a bit of romantic techno coming in which you made work quite nicely
for this one its two thumbs up and a chocolate chip cookie with no raisins cus there evil
Agree. Especially about the raisins. Why must they spoil perfectly good cookies with raisins? Yuck.
This piece isn't all that dark, but it does have a bit of a techno vibe. Thanks for another cool review!
persian techno... nice
only thing i can say is that the horn sounds like its coming from a different room, clear that issue and one may just invent perfection
Yeah, the Persian Techno aspect does seem to go over well with folks! :D
I'm not really sure what to say about the sound complaint...mainly because I didn't actually use any horn or brass instruments. There's flute, various strings, a healthy dose of choir, some harp near the end, and even some organ thrown in for good measure.
please not
i dont know much about jazz but here goes
when i think of jazz i cant imagine something this high pitched (at least the whole way through) other than that a very nice piece
screw grammer
Aw, but Jazz Piano has to have a lower octave for the main Jazz progression while the harmonies exist at a higher octave. To be fair, the melody line does have different parts that switch between the 3rd, 4th, and 5th octaves, sometimes going higher and at other times lower. I guess it's a good thing I didn't decide to go up into C6 range, huh?
Anyway, thanks for the honest review! I personally enjoy the varied range, but I can understand how it wouldn't be for everyone. I'm glad that you still liked it so much even though the high notes aren't really your thing.
curse you dendrago
ripped the words from my mouth before i even thought of them
Great minds really do think alike! :D
nice
i would love to see this music playing when someone makes a flash of bond shooting austin powers in the balls... there now that i got this off my chest, this piece had great beat but no offence to me just lacked a little in originality, still freakin awsome
Remixes and covers automatically lack a certain amount of originality, but I think I know what you mean. I'm glad that you still enjoyed the M:I jam, though! :)
made me sleepy
in a good way though, this is simply peaceful and i'm a sucker for flutes and chimes
This one is definitely designed to be soft, pretty, and relaxing. I've mentioned it before, but I love making music that is so calm and soothing that it can lull a person to sleep. There's nothing quite like falling asleep to beautiful music...except maybe for waking up to that same beautiful music!
Thanks for the review! Especially since you were trying not to doze while writing it.
don't listen to complaints
this is a great remix of something i've never heard, as far as the supposed volume issue its called people can just TURN UP THE VOLUME, people do it all the freaking time
Aw, now c'mon...that would be too easy! To be fair to Chronamut, my mastering skills weren't quite up to snuff yet at this point so it has a touch too much mid-range EQ, but thanks for standing up for the music! You rock! ^_^
a softer piece
personally i would have added a flute here and there but a wonderfully soft piece
Check it out between 2:30 - 3:02. Those are flute harmonies you're hearing! :D
hmmm
for something called winter solstice im feeling a sence of warmth from this one, i can't give a proper review of the notes when i had my speakers all the way up and i have slight temporary tenitus from the high notes at the beginning, my fault
Careful with those eardrums! They're the only ones you're ever going to have.
Probably.
I guess it really is true that perception is in the eye of the beholder. Or is that ear of the listener? Maybe it's so cold that hypothermia is setting in and it's making you feel warm! D:
If you need a review, I'll give it. If you want an idea, I got it. As for anything else just ask.
